Croyland Colleagues Celebrate First Aid Success

Croyland colleagues Chantal Latham and Josh Burton are celebrating successfully passing a First Aid course.

Sales Vehicle Administrator Chantal and Sales Consultant Josh both embarked on an intense three-day course hosted by St John Ambulance.

They both passed the First Aid at Work course with flying colours and join the band of fellow first-aiders based at Croyland.

Chantal, who joined the team in January, said the course was challenging and enjoyable.

She said: “The course was very intense and detailed – we even had homework! It was really interesting and both Josh and I learnt a lot.

“It is great to have the opportunity to learn these important skills and it is nice to know, that if called upon, we can help people here at Croyland and members of the general public.”

Chantal, who underwent chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed with chronic leukaemia in 2009, was pleased to have the opportunity to complete the course and achieve the first aid qualification.

She said: “It gives you a real sense of achievement and having my condition means it is great to know that I can also help people if they need medical assistance.”

Croyland General Manager Mark Swindells said: “Here at Croyland we take our first aid responsibilities very seriously and encourage members of the team to learn these vital skills and attend courses.

“We are delighted Chantal and Josh are the latest Croyland employees to successfully pass the First Aid at Work course.”

As well as successfully completing the First Aid course with Croyland colleague Josh, Chantal is currently training to compete in a half marathon this year to raise money for the charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
