Croyland Celebrates Winning National Award For Community Engagement
The team at Croyland Car Megastore is celebrating another award win after taking the top title in a prestigious national awards ceremony.
The Rushden based business were announced as winners at the SRS Spar Awards 2022 staged at the annual Spar Retail Show.
This year was the first time Croyland, which has a Spar store on site, had entered the national awards, where they were announced as winners at the black-tie event hosted by celebrity comedian Joel Dommett.
The company were declared winners of the Raj Aggarwal Community Engagement Award. The accolade recognises and rewards retailers who are actively involved in their communities, demonstrating commitment to the local area through COVID initiatives, business, sporting or charity investments.
The company were announced as winners with award organisers revealing why they had achieved their accolade success: “Croyland Motors have taken local community engagement one step further. In addition to sponsoring a variety of local sporting teams and supporting local charities the business also provided regular contribution to local foodbanks. During the pandemic Directors of the business gave up 20% of their salaries to support their local foodbanks and other community organisations.”
Croyland’s General Manager, Mark Swindells, said: “We are thrilled to win this prestigious award which recognises the extensive continued community support we provide to numerous charities, clubs and organisations within the local area, who help to make such a difference to so many people’s lives.

The community engagement award is the latest accolade achieved by the Croyland whose team attended the event staged at the Telford International Centre.
