CROYLAND SUPPORTS COMMUNITY CAUSES

Croyland is proud to actively support the local community and we help in numerous ways to give something back.

Croyland General Manager, Mark Swindells, said: “Croyland is at the very heart of the community so supporting local good causes, charities, schools and sports clubs is immensely important to us.

“Croyland’s committed to continuing to help community organisations who play such a vital role locally.”

There are many ways Croyland continues to make a difference in our community including everything from our ongoing hugely popular Freebie Friday weekly prize-winning competition to our successful Bugtopia competition, whereby Facebook followers nominated a community school to win an educational, interactive visit by the Bugtopia Zoo.

Cooper the dog, Croyland’s cuddly canine mascot, makes visits to lots of local schools to meet pupils plus he makes appearances at local sporting events as well.

We support a number of grassroots sports clubs including Higham F.C. where we are the main club sponsor having invested thousands of pounds providing football strips for hundreds of players of all ages, Irchester Romans F.C. where we sponsor teams alongside supporting AFC Rushden & Diamonds Women and Girls Under 15 girl’s football team, Wellingborough Rugby Club plus Wellingborough Town and Wollaston Cricket clubs.

It’s vitally important that Croyland cares and supports its community and we have donated numerous prizes for organisations and charities to help boost their own fundraising efforts.

We have recently launched a partnership supporting Kingsley Special Academy, a school for children and young adults with special needs and in collaboration with Enterprise Rent-A-Car we boosted the school’s fund with a £1,000 donation.

Croyland colleagues Jamie and Josh Burton took part in ScumRun 2019 and got behind the wheel, navigating thousands of miles to raise money for Chelsea’s Angels, a charity which helps children diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and other childhood cancers.

Their big-hearted efforts raised over £2,600 for the charity after Croyland provided sponsorship of £250 and a part exchange vehicle, which was made into a diesel race car for the charity challenge.

Croyland continues to make donations to an array of community causes including the Rotary Club, supporting local schools and organisations and we’ve provided safe parking signage and sponsored the sports team at Cranford School alongside supporting South End Junior School and providing SPAR sports day goodies for Windmill Primary School.

Croyland continues to care in lots of different ways including supporting Meningitis Now and providing raffle donations, which helped the team at Northampton General Hospital critical care unit raise over £1,200 to improve the patients and relatives’ rooms at the unit.

As well as providing cash boosts to community good causes, Croyland provides ongoing support for the Andi Bull Cancer Trust and has a collection box situated in our on-site petrol station SPAR shop, allowing customers to provide donations.

We support Rushden Food Bank providing produce for distribution to local families using the charity and are delighted Croyland continues to gain a reputation as a community focused business supporting numerous clubs, schools, charities and organisations.
