Growing Business Equals A Better Service

If you’ve driven passed us on the Northampton Road recently, you’ll probably have noticed that there are some changes being made to our site.

Whilst Croyland Car Megastore is an independent, family-run business, we are also a part of the Grosvenor Group, which also owns Broad Green Peugeot and Wellingborough’s award winning Vauxhall retailer, York, Ward & Rowlatt.

Following a thorough review of the group the fleet supply operation, currently based at York, Ward & Rowlatt in St. Johns Street, Wellingborough, is moving to a dedicated ‘Fleet logistics’ department incorporated into the six-acre Croyland Car Megastore site in Rushden.

The move means that Croyland Car Megastore will benefit from enhanced preparation facilities and a new customer offering as we have also teamed with the AA, as one the first UK business to offer the Automobile Association’s new ‘Inspect and Protect’. All vehicles are independently assessed and only those that meet the AA’s stringent standards are offered for sale with an AA warranty and roadside assistance. 

At the same time, the move also frees up valuable space at York, Ward & Rowlatt which, in turn, will provide an improved customer experience for Retail and Aftersales customers with ease of access and parking as well as increased used vehicle display areas in Wellingborough.

“We’ve seen significant growth in the fleet sector and in our used car businesses.” said Nick Hughes, Group Franchise Director. “That’s great news for the business but, with around 4,000 Fleet vehicles being delivered from our Wellingborough dealership each year, customers and visitors have found it difficult to park, and there has been increased congestion with transporters driving in and out of the town.

The creation of a brand new Fleet logistics centre at Croyland in Rushden is great news for our business and our customers for whom we will be able to provide an enhanced experience.”
