Northamptonshire pupils welcome a visit from Cooper the Dog
Staff and pupils at a Northants school celebrated a festive windfall with a donation from Croyland Car Megastore and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
A donation of £1,000 was presented to Kingsley Special Academy in Kettering, which will help with the construction of a safe access area to the school’s play equipment.
Croyland Car Megastore’s mascot Cooper the dog made a surprise visit to Kingsley Special Academy along with the Rushden dealership’s General Manager Mark Swindells.
Headteacher Tom O’Dwyer said: “At Kingsley we recognise the preciousness of every day, and when Cooper the dog came to call on us we had a very precious day indeed."
“Our friends at Croyland and Enterprise, through their generous donation of £1,000, have helped to ensure that the magic keeps flowing. Their donation, which will be used to build safe access to our play equipment, will make the everyday life of our children just that little bit more precious than before.”
Croyland Car Megastore General Manager, Mark Swindells, said: “We were thrilled to be able to support the school in conjunction with Enterprise and are delighted to hear the donation will help make such a difference for the children. This latest donation demonstrates how community centred Croyland is and how we like to support local schools and good causes.”
James Wigglesworth, Senior Account Manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, added: “It was wonderful to visit the school to meet the children and the staff. It is fantastic to be able to support the school alongside other local organisations through our Foundation providing funds for great causes.”
